W 1966 roku zosta\u0142 asystentem w Diabetologicznym O\u015brodku Naukowo-Badawczym w Ko\u0142obrzegu. Uzyska\u0142 specjalizacj\u0119 w zakresie chor\u00f3b wewn\u0119trznych. Od 1969 roku pe\u0142ni\u0142 funkcj\u0119 lekarza naczelnego sanatorium \u201cPoznanianka\u201d w Ko\u0142obrzegu. W 1974 roku przeni\u00f3s\u0142 si\u0119 do Mi\u0119dzychodu, obejmuj\u0105c po swym ojcu J\u00f3zefie kierownictwo przychodni kolejowej.
